Giant sitting on hillside with cut away view of contaminated water table
Fracked!
linoleum relief print
10 3/8 x 8" (image) 15 x 11" (paper)
2013

A little play on words for this print. "Fracaso" in Spanish translates to "failure". The giant failure in this case is the effects of fracking to our drinkable water supply.
This print was created for the print exchange portfolio "Posada Presente". The portfolio celebrates the 100th anniversary of Jose Guadalupe Posada's death. The directions for the theme of images was "what would Posada print if he were alive today?" Also, a big nod to one of my heroes, Francisco Goya.

Edition of 50 (first 35 have gone to the Posada Presente portfolio).
