Woodcut Block Prints
The first in a new series of prints dealing with the story of my parents' journey to the USA.
This print illustrates the story my mother tells of her family's crossing of the Rio Grande. During the ferry across the river she told her older sister that she had heard that those who drank from the waters did not return to Mexico. My aunt did not drink but my mother did. They both ended up meeting young men in Texas, marrying and staying in the States.
